Q.
Would you recommend buying the BabyWrap or the BabySnug to keep a baby warm? And should we use a Happy Nappy underneath?
A.
Personally (and I designed them) I would go for the BabyWrap as it is thicker, opens flat, so easier to put on and more adjustable. However, some people like the smaller lighter fit of the snug and the arms - I don't think the arms are needed on most active babies as they are constantly moving them and keeping them warm. If a baby is frail or small for his age it is an ideal product though. You do need the nappy with the BabyWrap but not with the BabySnug.
Q.
Could you please advise if eczema suits are suitable for swimming and, if so, how do they protect the skin? Would they protect eczema behind the knee, for example, which is very common?
A.

They come to just below the knee. They have proved invaluable to so many children and are used extensively. Eczema affects so many people in so many different places, we need to minimise the problem where we can.

If you apply barrier cream, which is what will help create a barrier between the aggressive chemicals and the skin, the main places where the cream can rub off is the core body. This is also where the child is held. With many fabrics the cream seeps through and the fabric becomes extremely slippery, or is absorbed by the fabric. With our fabric that does not happen. If you put the barrier cream on our eczema suit will help keep it there (even behind the knee) and your child will have a better chance or enjoying the water.

Q.
Why does my child tip over when using her floatsuit?
A.
Too much buoyancy can cause your child to become unsteady. Simply remove some of the floats from her suit. She should be at the same level as you are when treading water, quite low so that the water is around the shoulders. When she is at this level, she will be able to control her buoyancy with ease.
Q.
Why are there so many floats?
A.
We use 16 floats so that the buoyancy can be adjusted to suit anybody. In the jacket this means you can adjust the jacket without making it too big.
Also see below...
Q.
How do I remove floats from the jacket?
A.
You take them from the pockets inside the jacket. If for example you need to remove four floats and the jacket is a good fit, remove one from each alternate pocket. If the jacket is getting a bit snug as the child grows, you can replace two floats and remove two floats from two pockets at either side, so that you gain room inside the jacket at the point it is needed, making it last longer.
Q.
My child fiddles with the zip on his jacket, what can I do?
A.
The jackets are cut especially so that they can be worn with the zip to the front or to the back. So just turn your child¹s jacket around, that will sort it out!
Q.
Does the Happy Nappy work without another nappy or a liner inside?
A.
Yes, absolutely! The Happy Nappy is specially designed to work alone. You may, however, still use it with an inner liner or disposable nappy should you wish, to make it easy to remove solids.
Q.
Does your swimwear contain Latex?
A.
NO. There is no latex in the fabrics, including the neoprene, we use for our swimwear.
Q.
Does your swimwear contain Phthalates?
A.
NO. The fabrics we use for our clothing do not contain Phthalates and have been tested on this basis.
Q.
I'm hoping you can help me with a small problem. I accidentally left my son's swim nappy inside a plastic wetbag for 3-4 days before remembering to put it out to dry. Unsurprisingly, it now smells terrible, even when dry! I was hoping you might have some suggestions for getting rid of the smell without ruining the nappy! Can I wash it with Soap Flakes?
A.
Whoops! Yes, you could wash it with soap flakes, just use coolish water and rinse really, really well.
Q.
How much do you charge for delivery and how long with my delivery take?
A.
